The Samsung i600 Ultra Messaging is the first Samsung 3G smartphone with high speed downlink packet access (HSDPA). The handset is compact & slim which only measures 113 mm x 59 mm x 11.8 mm & the phone weighs 99 grams which is lightweight when considering all the built in technologies of the Samsung smartphone. The i600 Ultra Messaging is the slimmest Samsung 3G smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard. The handset comes in a black coloured casing which has a tactile feel to the casing & provides the user with a good grip when in use. The handset has a large 2.3 Inch colour screen which provides up to 65,000 colours on a TFT LCD screen. The full QWERTY keyboard & navigation wheel are situated below the large screen.

The i600 Ultra Messaging has been designed for the style conscious professional user with all the built in business functions & entertainment features which are desired by the professional user on the move. The phone comes with 64 Mbytes of RAM memory & 128 Mbytes of ROM memory plus the user can extend the phones memory capabilities by adding a MicroSD™ removable memory card. The Samsung i600 Ultra Messaging provides the perfect messaging & communication partner for all users. The i600 Ultra Messaging comes from the same family as the Samsung F300 Ultra Music & the Samsung F500 Ultra Video which are all feature focused mobile handsets.

The full QWERTY keyboard & navigation wheel have been beautifully designed to make composing messages & emails easy of the user. The i600 Ultra Messaging comes with Microsoft™ Windows Mobile™ 5.0 operating system which has a document viewer & image viewer function. The user can view documents in all popular file formats which include Microsoft™ Word, Microsoft™ Excel, Microsoft™ PowerPoint & PDF files. The user can view images in either BMP, JPEG or GIF image format. The phone runs on Microsoft™ Windows Mobile 5.0 complete with push technology which allows the phone to instantly update & provides the user with the latest updates to their phone at all times. The push email technology will automatically updates the Microsoft™ Office Outlook email service when the phone is synchronised with the server. The Samsung i600 Ultra Messaging comes with a built in mobile MSN instant messaging service which allows the user to communicate with other users who are online at the same time as the user. The Samsung i600 Ultra Messaging supports predictive text which provides the user with a word suggestion when composing a message. The MMS multimedia messaging provides the user with a picture messaging mobile phone service.
