Motorola W377 Review

The W377 is a member of the Motorola W range which provides the user with a well priced fashionable flip opening mobile phone. The W377 pays resemblance to the Motorola W220 & the Motorola W375 which are other members of the W range. The Motorola W377 is sleek & colourful handset which is available in a black (licorice), gray, silver & pink coloured casing. The handset is 95 grams in weight & measures 99mm high by 45mm wide by 18.6mm deep which feels good to old in any users hand when in use. The phone is a flip opening which comes with an external mono icon display which provides the user the useful icons to indicate a new message, call & battery status on the external screen. On the front of the handset above the external mono screen is the built in camera.

The phone comes with a VGA camera which is a 0.3 megapixel camera & the camera comes with a 4 x zoom which will allow the user to get closer to their subject when taking a snap. When taking a snap the user can use the internal screen as a viewfinder & allows the user to see what they are capturing as they take the photo. The internal screen displays up to 65k colours on a 128 x 160 pixel resolution screen which provides a clear & colourful display. The camera feature adds an element of fun & allows the user to either store their photos on their W377, share them via MMS messaging or download their photos to their home computer using the phones USB or Bluetooth® connectivity options. The fun doesn’t stop there as the phone comes with preloaded games which allow the user to enjoy entertainment on their new mobile phone. The Motorola W377 supports MP3 ringtones which allows the user to enjoy their favourite ringtones which can be change to suit the user’s style. The phone comes with a built in FM radio feature & the user will need an optional extra of headphones to enjoy the radio feature on this phone.

The user can use the handsfree speaker phone feature to talk to their contacts over the phones speaker system which allows the user to rest their W377 on their desk or table whilst chatting to others over the phones speakers. The user can stay in contact with others by sending a MMS (Multimedia Message Service) or SMS (Text Message Service) or an EMS (Enhanced Message Service) to any compatible messaging contact. The MMS message allows the user to send a photo complete with text & sound which is a quick way to share photos with others. The SMS message allows the user to send a message containing text input to any SMS mobile phone contact. The user can use the predictive text feature to help them when typing a messaging which allows the user to create a message faster as the words are predicted for the user. The Motorola W377 comes with a zoom font option which allows the user to view their messages in larger font if required. The phone comes with an integrated phone book which can hold up to five hundred contacts at a time. The user will find other useful built in features which will assist the user in their day to day living which include an alarm clock feature, calculator, calendar & a currency converter.

This stylish flip phone comes with a battery which provides its user with up to 7.5 hours talk time (450 minutes) or up to 250 hours standby battery time. The mobile phone comes with a USB connection point which allows the user to connect their new handset to compatible USB devices. The W377 supports Bluetooth wireless connectivity which allows the user to enjoy a wireless connection between the phone & other Bluetooth® compatible devices. The Motorola W377 has a built in WAP browser & the phone comes with 10 Mbytes of internal memory for data storage. The phone works on a tri band network which covers GSM 900, GSM 1800 & GSM 1900. The Motorola W377 is an affordable phone & a good looking mobile phone complete with useful features.
